Deadfellaz Integration With Chainlink and Halloween Airdrops.

With recent events in the NFT space, and a demand for transparency during random minting and airdropping of tokens — we have decided to integrate with Chainlink to ensure complete verifiable transparency and trust between ourselves and our community.

To give us time to integrate this, we have decided to condense the 13 days of airdrops leading up to our Metaverse Halloween Party on the 29th October, to a single day for all airdrops. This will occur on the 27th October — for this reason, these snapshots will also be taken the week of the 27th. The mechanics of the airdrop will remain otherwise the same, with a total of 172 tokens being dropped to random holders.

In order to be eligible for the Cool Cats X Deadfellaz airdrop, you must hold both an original Cool Cat, and a Deadfellaz in the same wallet at the time of the snapshot.

To be eligible for the Ghxsts X Deadfellaz airdrop, you must hold in the same wallet a Deadfellaz and at least one token from any of Ghxsts five collections: Ghxst Collection, PxinGxng Collection, Ghxst Culture Collection, Cxllabs and Originxls.

All other airdrops require you only to be holding at least one Deadfellaz NFT.

Why Chainlink?

Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) is a provably-fair and verifiable source of randomness designed for smart contracts. Smart contract developers can use Chainlink VRF as a tamper-proof random number generator (RNG) to build reliable smart contracts for any applications which rely on unpredictable outcomes:

  • Blockchain games and NFTs
  • Random assignment of duties and resources (e.g. randomly assigning judges to cases)
  • Choosing a representative sample for consensus mechanisms

On-chain Verification of Randomness

Chainlink VRF enables smart contracts to access randomness without compromising on security or usability. With every new request for randomness, Chainlink VRF generates a random number and cryptographic proof of how that number was determined. The proof is published and verified on-chain before it can be used by any consuming applications. This process ensures that the results cannot be tampered with nor manipulated by anyone, including oracle operators, miners, users and even smart contract developers.
