The Deadfellaz 10K forms the basis of everything that DFZ Labs is. Launched in 2021, Deadfellaz is a unique undead character collection created by DFZ co-founders, Betty & Psych. Deadfellaz are & will forever be the IP that powers everything that DFZ Labs produces.

This Collectors guide will help you with details around traits, rarity & current utilities you gain access to as a collector of a Deadfellaz.

Why were Deadfellaz launched as NFTs? Deadfellaz is and has always been an exploration of digital art & digital identity. NFT, Crypto & Web3 tech allow us facilitate many things we couldn’t do otherwise, such as secure private use of Deadfellaz as streaming identities online.

There’s a Deadfella for every type of collector.

Traits & Rarity

Traits are the unique visual layers that combine to create a Deadfellaz character. They are split across 6 categories: Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Head, Body, & Background. Traits are mostly equal in rarity, but some traits, such as fur coats, are treated as rare by the Deadfellaz collector community.

Every trait has 1 of 3 “grades”: Fresh, Damaged & Rotten.
Grades have rarity, with Fresh being the most common grade, Damaged being rarer & Rotten being the rarest grade.

This is the rarest Deadfella #1054, an R5 combo.

Grade Combinations & Ranking

In order to display the rarity of combinations within Deadfellaz, we have Grade Combo as a trait within the collections metadata. These are tracked by F D & R (Fresh, Damaged & Rotten) with a number beside them. So a Deadfella that has 5 Rotten Grade traits would be an R5, and a Deadfellaz with 2 Rotten Traits and 3 Damaged Traits would be a R2D3.
